A cottage home bakery is the home kitchen used to produce cottage foods. According to the Dept of Health Food Safety, you do not need an Idaho cottage food license, Idaho food handlers permit, or a food establishment license to operate a cottage bakery. We get this question A LOT! (haha) It's The Sour Bee of course! Every. single. loaf. is made by The Sour Bee and Baby Bee's from start to finish. We are a small (micro) cottage bakery and we are PROUD of that title.
We take your DOUGH seriously. So quality is our promise! We are VERY proud to say that our sourdough is made to order. That means our time is set and scheduled based on the order and size of the order. Typically it takes 2-3 days to prep, bulk, ferment, bake and cool the sourdough. It sounds long, but TRUST US ...it's WORTH IT! Depending on your location, we give you bee lovers the option to express ship which takes 2-3 days or overnight which can take 1-2 days (depending on location) Feel free to ask us directly!
